grading 

1 point if video is 3 minutes or longer
2 points if intro of SEL topic exceeds standards (1 point if it is basic and 0 if there is no intro)
2 points if outro/concluding section of SEL topic exceeds standards (1 point if it is basic and 0 if there is no outro)
1 point if student appears in the video (we actually see the student)
2 points if tone/eye contact/enthusiasm/volume exceeds standards (1 point if it is basic and 0 if it is difficult to follow along or hear)
2 points if read-aloud book chosen is appropriate for all students in grades kinder-5th (1 point if it isn't appropriate for all those grade levels and 0 if there is no book)

1 extra point will be given if video earned 10 points from above AND it was submitted early (up until Wednesday at midnight)

INTRO: mention who you are and how you are part of the school community, what is the Category/topic (maybe give a basic definition)...give them like an essential question related to the topic....give them a purpose for listening to your story, so they know what to focus on while listening (about the topic you have chosen....act like you are a teacher or guidance counselor)

Outro: what is the message of the story/lesson to be learned related to your category and topic.  Explain to students in kinder and up to 5th what they should do...how can they learn from the book and become a better human and/or student. Explain, Explain, Explain....like you are a teacher and guidance counselor

Extra Credit (optional): It’s time for you to think like an inventor! First, think of a chore that you don’t enjoy very much. For example, maybe you don’t like cleaning up your toys. Or maybe you forget to make your bed. Can you invent something that could help you? Make a drawing of your invention and describe how it works. If you have time, look for materials in the recycling bin or around your home and try to build it!
